As expected, Twitter shareholders voted in favour of billionaire Elon Musk’s acquisition of the company.
Musk offered $54.20 a share in April but has yet to pull out of the deal.
Twitter wants the sale to go ahead as planned, and the shareholders also give the green light.
A court will consider the case in October. Musk believes he was misled about the number of real users of Twitter.
Twitter’s stock is currently trading around $42, far below Musk’s offer.
