Swedish clothing chain Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) fears the loss of tens of thousands of jobs because of the corona crisis.

The company has already closed thousands of stores in connection with the pandemic.

According to H&M, 3441 of its 5062 stores are now closed worldwide, including in major markets such as Germany, Great Britain and the United States.

According to the company, the crisis will have a significant negative impact on March sales.

H&M is looking into measures to deal with the malaise, with possible large-scale dismissal of temporary staff.

Permanent jobs can also be endangered if the situation does not improve.
