New infections are emerging in Vietnam, which until now had relatively few problems with the corona pandemic.
On Tuesday, the country reported two new corona cases linked to a new domestic infection in Ho Chi Minh City, the country’s business hub, the government said.
The country is on edge again after authorities reported an initial infection after 89 days on Monday. Authorities closed off several neighbourhoods in the densely populated city.
Vietnam has registered a total of 1,349 coronavirus infections, with 35 deaths.
