Elon Musk will meet this week for the first time with employees of Twitter, the company he decided to acquire in April for $44 billion.
The call will take place via video link on Thursday, and Musk is expected to answer questions from staff.
Since the news of the takeover broke, chaos has reigned among Twitter’s workforce. CEO Parag Agrawal fired several senior managers and announced cost-cutting measures, although there is currently no talk of a reorganization. However, a staff stop has been announced.
Twitter employees are concerned about the acquisition by Musk, who has publicly criticized the company, both for the features Twitter offers and for policy decisions made in the past.
