Dozens of people have been killed or injured after a suicide bomber blew himself up at a funeral in Eastern Afghanistan.
This is reported by a spokesman for the local government. On Tuesday, a maternity hospital in the capital Kabul was also attacked.
The attacker detonated his explosives when the ceremony for a deceased police commander was underway, according to the spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar Province.
At least 12 people have been killed and tens of others have been injured in the attack near the provincial capital of Jalalabad.
Located on the border with Pakistan, Nangarhar has long been a stronghold of both the Islamic State and the Taliban.
Both international forces and the Taliban in the area have targeted ISIS fighters, who have been largely expelled from the province but are still attacking urban centres.
The Taliban deny being responsible for the attack.
