HP Sells More Notebooks and Fewer Printers

HP posted revenue of $ 14.3 billion in the third quarter, down 2.1 percent from the same period last year. Profits fell from $ 1.2 billion to $ 700 million.

 

Net cash from operating activities in the third quarter was $ 1.7 billion, and free cash flow was $ 1.6 billion.

The third quarter returned $ 1.2 billion to shareholders in the form of share buybacks and dividends.

Net printing revenues fell 20 percent to $ 3.93 billion.

Personal Systems revenues were up 7 percent to $ 10.4 billion, fueled by the tremendous demand for notebook computers.
