In Germany, the coronavirus has been diagnosed in 12,097 people in the past 24 hours. That is more than 2,000 fewer than the day before and 7,000 fewer than on Saturday.
The death toll has risen by 49 to 10,530. In total, 545,027 people have become infected with the virus.
A lockdown is in effect in Germany from Monday.
All catering businesses are closed, as are hairdressers, beauty salons, gyms and cultural institutions.
