Germany is extending the travel warning due to corona for countries outside the EU until September 14. German Health Minister Jens Spahn announced this on Wednesday.
At the same time, he announced changes to quarantine rules for people returning to Germany from high-risk areas.
Among other things, stricter enforcement will be ensured in compliance with the mandatory quarantine.
Like other countries in Europe, Germany is also struggling with rising corona figures, although the increase is not immediately seen as dramatic but is seen as worrying.
On Thursday, Chancellor Angela Merkel will again meet with the leaders of the sixteen states. The quarantine rules are, therefore, on the agenda.
