France Wants Clarification from Renault on Payment Drivers. The French government has asked Renault for more information about payments to senior managers via a Dutch holding company.
That is what the French finance minister Bruno Le Maire said.
It is a holding company jointly owned by Renault and alliance partner Nissan.
Prior, the union CGT already called the money flows, about which much is unclear.
Le Maire requires the bottom stone above.
“I want to know to whom these payments were made, whether they have been declared and therefore whether Renault’s management was aware of it.”
Earlier at Renault. Topman Carlos Ghosn (photo) was arrested in Japan in mid-November on suspicion of tax fraud as Nissan’s boss, where he also held the sceptre.
Tensions within alliance Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi
The arrest of the car boss has led to pressures within the alliance Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi.
Nissan and Mitsubishi dismissed Ghosn, while Renault first wants to see proof of his crimes.
According to reports, Nissan intends to use the situation to balance the relationships within the alliance.
The Japanese think that Renault has too much to say within the partnership.
