Once again, heavy rainfall in Japan has flooded homes and streets.

 

Local media reported on Wednesday that tens of thousands of residents of the northeastern Yamagata region are being called to safety.

The Mogami River burst its banks, causing the water to enter several houses.

There have also been reports of landslides.

Recently torrential rain hit the main southwestern island of Japan. This caused devastating floods and landslides.

More than seventy people died.
