Facebook Mother Meta Builds World’s Fastest AI Supercomputer

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, says it will have the fastest artificial intelligence supercomputer in the world by the middle of this year.

 

The installation should develop stronger machine learning AI models.

The supercomputer, already running but under construction, should help create new artificial intelligence systems that can learn from trillions of examples, the company says in a blog post.

Meta hopes, for example, that those systems will enable real-time voice translations in large groups of people, where everyone speaks a different language.

Ultimately, the work of the supercomputer should pave the way for technologies for the metaverse, according to Meta, the computing platform of the future.
