Entrepreneur and SpaceX founder Elon Musk wants to start a program in which CO2 is removed from the air and can be used as rocket fuel. He says so on Twitter.
According to Musk, his intention is important to undertake a space trip to the planet Mars one day.
SpaceX’s rockets, including the new Falcon 9, use kerosene as fuel like all other space rockets. As with normal vehicles, CO2 is released during combustion.
