China: US Shifts Debt After Own Failure of Corona Approach

China argues that the United States is trying to shift the blame for its own failing response to the corona crisis.

 

China responds to the letter from President Donald Trump in which he threatens to stop funding to the World Health Organization (WHO).

Trump threatened Monday to rethink the United States’ membership of the WHO if the organization failed to make improvements within thirty days.

He added that the WHO has shown an “alarming lack of independence” from China.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said on Tuesday that the United States is trying to pollute China.

It is a miscalculation to use China to evade its own responsibility, he said.
