The digital currency bitcoin rose again to above $ 50,000 on Wednesday. Investors are entering the bitcoin market again.
Last week, the world’s best-known cryptocurrency went down considerably due to concerns about whether its value had risen too much.
Bitcoin won more than 7 percent in London on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the share price fell after Gary Gensler’s comments, who is a candidate to become chairman of the US stock exchange regulator Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Gensler said at a Senate hearing that it would be a challenge for the SEC to ensure that the cryptocurrency market is free from fraud and manipulation.
Gensler is seen as a champion of digital currencies. He is an advisor to the MIT Media Lab Digital Currency Initiative and teaches blockchain technology and digital currencies.
Bitcoin reached a record level of more than $ 58,000 last month but then dropped to around $ 47,000.
