Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden argues that the United States has become “weaker, sicker, poorer, more divided and more violent” under President Donald Trump.

Biden became emotional when he accused Trump of referring to dead soldiers as “losers” and “suckers,” as recently reported by The Atlantic magazine.

In the quarter in which the two presidential candidates discussed their own and each other’s achievements, Trump praised his own administration. “There has never been a government that has done what I have done. Everything went well until COVID came.”

Trump, among other things, claimed to have “rebuilt” the military and accused Biden of abandoning veterans as vice president.

Biden argued that the Obama administration came to power in a recession and resolved the economic slump. “He’s triggered a recession,” Biden said of Trump.

The Democrat also argued that the Obama administration had opposed Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling Trump Putin’s puppet.

When Biden replied to Trump about his accusations against the military, he became visibly agitated. Biden referred to his son Beau, who died of cancer, as a soldier in Iraq. “He was not a loser but a patriot.”
